The House of Choqueira is 10 km away from the town of Gerês. The National Park Peneda-Gerês is the only national Park in Portugal and is considered to be a World Biosphere Reserve by Unesco. When you least expect you might find a wild horse crossing the road, birds of prey flying above your head and wolves. Here you also find different protected flora species. The forest of Albergaria is uniquely beautiful. On the Park itself you will find various footpaths to help you enjoy the nature a little bit closer.
